Why do I keep falling....Literally.

I have taken some pretty rough falls in the last 8 months.  I don't know what is my problem.  I first fell this past August just as I arrived in Poland and I haven't been able to kneel on that knee since.  Then, last week I fell trying to stand up on a stool to hang up a screen over my window.  Last week it left a lovely scratch on one leg but really hurt my knee that was already messed up. NOW today...I was walking up the stairs of our school and somehow fell on the stairs. I scrapped the top of a foot on my other knee I now have a bump the size of a golf ball that is very tender.  CLUMSY!!!!

So last week was fit camp in Zako and it actually was a good time. I haven't been much of a camp person but this time the weather was amazing! It was so nice to sit outside with friends and chat and sit in the hammock and read.

On Saturday, I had an 8 hour skype meeting with my team I'm going to Afghanistan with. It was so cool how I could be apart of the meeting yet so far away. I can't wait to get to know my teammates more in person.  It's funny I've always find that once we get back to the states we tend to grow closer after the trip so who knows what friends I will make on this trip. :) I really am excited for this opportunity to go and love on these people again!

During our training I was able to apply and learn things that are helping me here in Poland.  I have been studying about missions and the people of Islam for several years and the stuff that has helped me the most is the stuff on Islam! I see so many books that really take hard and indepth evaluations of the people, culture, and religion.  Because people do this is helps I think open up the view of possible similarities in other cultures.  I read a book when I first came to poland about cultural issues. It didn't speak about just one culture but all cultures in general. I'd say this book helped me the least! But anyways, I'm enjoying what I'm learning from all cultures!
