Mom's day and Packing with 1 month left

This week we celebrate mother's...actually today, Saturday. On Thursday we had our school performance  for Mother's. This picture is the kids singing the english song.  I taught them "Your Love is Deep." If you've worked in Children's ministry at Flatirons you know this song.  It turned out really good and wasn't stressful to prep the kids! :)

This next we are off from school because our kids are in Germany or at Proem's camp grounds. It is something they call Green school. It's an educational week that kids take off to go to different activities usually at a campground.  All schools around the area participate in this.  I am currently working on finishing up packing.  I leave for Afghanistan in about a week and when I get back things will be a whirlwind of finishing up at school and moving out of my apartment and good-byes that I really have to have it all done. I'm just not use to this kind of packing. When I packed to come here I could save several things for last minute because I was moving to my parents house.  But when I move out of my apartment here I am flying away and what's in my suitcases gets to come with me. So, right now I can't seem to figure out what I for sure don't need and what I can live without.  I also have LOTS of things I'm passing along and giving or selling and I don't have enough room to make piles. I just need the stuff to disappear. :) I'm only slightly nervous about where it is all going on.  Last night I really just dove into the packing and here is what I got...

Pretty crazy huh!?! This week I am planning on packing and meeting with people. I am lucky to have this week off before I leave town. I will also be packing up the school stuff so that my replacement next year can organize things anyway that she wants.

Have a great weekend!
