I was able to enjoy this past weekend with friends and family. I decided to take a total break for two days from papers and internships. I spent Saturday with friends and then on Sunday I spent the day with my family playing Dominion. A friend taught me this game in December when visiting and I brought it back to my family. They LOVE the game. The first round was fun. I won! Then the second game went on for 2 1/2 hours! We added these new cards and it threw off all of our strategies and how the game turned it, but still a blast. Most of my nieces and my nephew were there and they got to play together outside. Below is a picture of the first game. Good news is that I am in the home stretch of the papers. Whether I like it or not they have to be turned in on Monday. This is probably such a good thing because no matter what I have no excuse except to do the papers and get done quickly. I was just texting with my mom explaining that I have to take more breaks than I did when I first started...she suggested stretching, yoga, or squats to wake up. I figured that wouldn't quite work while sitting at Chil-Fil-A. HAHAHA! The great news is that for my internship I've really been up against a wall trying to figure out what I would do for my student. I've asked so many professionals! Everyone else is at a loss too. I spent all last week thinking through different scenarios. Finally, last night I was able to come up with a new approach (the current one isn't working). So Now I am trying to go forward with this. Thanks for the prayers. Please continue to pray for me to finish the semester strong! I see what I need to do but the energy just isn't there so I am beginning to look for shortcuts. :( I hope you all are doing well!
