Last week/weekend I had to opportunity to travel to Ireland. This has been a life long dream of mine to travel there. I have a very good friend from college who is from there. We always talked about one day meeting up there but I never knew how that would happen especially at the time I had never been out of the country. Well, it came at just the perfect time! I love when I see God's timing just working away.
I have know this friend for almost 10 years and it was amazing getting to be with her like we had just seen each other yesterday. We had talks that were challenging and encouraging. One thing I have learned in life is that relationships can be hurtful and healing. Of course I love it when I see friendships healing some of the hurts in our lives when we share our own stories with each other. I love remembering that I am not perfect and sharing how I can get caught up in that and that she feels the same way too! I wish that I could fully express my heart and how amazing this time was with my friend! She is amazing and real! It was very hard to say good-bye. I don't always cry when I say good-bye but this time I did and the tears just kept pouring out. Even when i was finally home I just wasn't myself. I was down because I knew that I wasn't around her anymore. ;) But we know we will meet up again. Whenever that time comes!
