Enjoying Life

Once I got back from Ireland I immediately was busy this week. There was a college team here from the states and I was working with them this week. We spent Tuesday and Wednesday at some schools in nearby villages that I just love! I got to really spend time with some of the kids I have quickly hung out with over the past 6 months. I LOVE getting to continue working with these kids!! I am sitting down this week to start planning a full week of teaching there with my friend to teach the kids about poverty in the world and helping others. :) I am amazed at how quickly the weeks are going by! This week since I was working at at times in charge of the team I was able to use a TON of polish! I was shocked with myself! I have thought that I haven't used a lot of polish because I teach so much english and this week proved that to be true! Then at the end of the week we spent it at our elementary school. It was nice to be doing different things and to have some leadership. One of the girls from the trip struggled a little and was came to chat with me. I had just met her and yet she felt safe to talk to me! What she was going through I had a lot of those feelings on my last trip to A-stan and so it was nice to be able to talk to her about how I dealt with things or didn't deal with things. :) I Love looking back on past things and being able to continue to learn from them. Another things this week was just seeing what a real leader looks like and what role they plan in teams and guiding. I learned a lot this week...which I shouldn't be surprised about it because these days I am constantly learning. One thing I can speak more into at another time is that I am really enjoying living in Poland. This week working with the team one thing that I could acknowledge is that I am liking it here, even if it is March and still really cold. ;) I miss many things about America but I am happy to be here. That was something else i realized in Ireland. I was walking with a friend of mine through a store and for a moment I felt like I was in America like it was no big deal, it caused me to stop for a second and realize that I am not living in Poland so that it will be like home but because it IS different. This was a good reminder of why I am here, especially when I get caught up in missing home or certain comforts.
