A few weeks ago I ordered a new testament that is Polish and English side-by-side. I'm super excited for this! As I've been working on going to Poland a verse from a friends Instagram page came to mind. Acts 26:16-18 "But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles - to whom I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may return from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me." This verse has hit me because it means I'm going as a servant for Christ. I get to serve these people so that they can see Christ and the relationship I have with him. My mom was telling me how I need to memorize this verse...I'm working it this week! But now I'd also like to memorize it in Polish. For those times when people ask "Why did you come here?" Plus, it's a great way to share with them that they are worth giving up my comfortable here and moving around the world for!
You're going to need to check in with me and see how much I've learned so far! I can read it in Polish....not sure all the accents are in the right place....But I've got time to figure it out! :)
