Greetings from Poland

I've made it! I left Denver on Tuesday. I flew into Washington DC. The plane was delayed two hours. I was given a voucher for food and so I went and enjoyed a nice big dinner. When we did board the plane I happened to be sitting in the row with the only open seat! The girl next to me was excited too! We took off and had a bunch of turbulence at the beginning of the flight. I was pretty worried I was going to get sick! Last week on my way to Arkansas I got really sick on the flight. We made it to Copenhagen without anymore troubles. I had already missed my connecting flight since the plane was delayed in the states. The crazy part was that when I went to boarder control they weren't going to let me through. They asked me a million questions and they thought I should have gotten paperwork before I arrived! In the end the lady made a call and I was passed through! I got a flight right away on the next plane to Warsaw. I was picked up and got to go to my new apartment. While it was long it wasn't bad at all! Lots of mercies along the way.

Last night was my first night in my apartment. It's pretty humorous! I had all my bags and a mattress and that's it. A friend got me some stuff for a mini snack and I hung out at home. I unpacked all of my suitcases. The only thing is that there is a large pile of clothes now to put away once I get a dresser. To cool off I left the windows open. That was a learning experience! It is noisy!!! No matter the time of day there is tons of traffic. I will be buying some fans for the apartment tomorrow so then I'll be able to keep the windows closed at night. :) I slept well except for being wide awake just after 4am!

Today I had our first teacher meeting! We got lots of information for the school year. I got to see all my friends too. I learned there is a change in what ages I'll be teaching. Since one of the teachers is away for the semester for training I'll be teaching older kids! Since I have a strong personality they thought that's what is needed for them. I'll be teaching 4th-10th grade! Who would have thought!?!? I find it humorous! It's a good thing I've had experience at Bridge. It really is neat to see all of my training from so many different jobs coming into play. It really does show how God has his hand in all the details of our lives. Tonight I plan to look over my teaching and get some sort of idea on what I'll be teaching next week! :) Now for the next couple of days I'll be hanging out, relaxing and getting adjusted to the time change.
