This past week was spent with my mom and dad. We had quite the busy week but it was so much fun! When they arrived they were able to meet many of my close friends who I spend most of my time with. They hit it off with everyone! Then on Tuesday we traveled to Karkow. We were able to tour the different parts of the city that I have never even been able to visit. At the hotel my dad was impressed by the size of the beers there that he quickly made some friends with some college students who were enjoying a beer after school. On Wednesday we toured Auschwitz and then traveled back up north to Tomaszow. The rest of the week was spent with friends and each other eating, shopping, and laughing.
It was great to see my parents connect with the people I have been connecting with over the past year and a half. My parents were able to share their lives with them and they opened up with my parents. My parents have now made many friends that will be visiting them in the near future in America! It was great to see my parents opening up and building bridges in another culture. This was my dads first time overseas and my mom has never been to Europe so I'm sure they were constantly learning new things. I was very impressed with how they handled cultural challenges and the questions they asked. I am proud to say that my parents enhanced the ministry here. Here are a few pictures from this week.
