Yes, This was my late night dinner yesterday. Us English teachers decided to go out for our real Polish meal. This is a thin but large slab of chicken with yes, a chunk of butter dripping over it with incredible seasonings. It comes with fries and a "salad." The salad consists of a pile of cabbage, a pile of pickles, and a piles of shredded cooked carrots. I was able to eat a majority of what I was served. While the atmosphere was fun by itself and the challenge to eat all of the food was daunting the real reward was the company. We have all been recently forming a great bond together. I am sad that we only have until June together but I am excited for the next couple of months. We have really started to share our struggles with each other, as well as our praises. We can laugh at each other like nobodies business and clear out a room with our laughter and crazy ways. We didn't have any of our directors with us and it was just so much fun to be "us." We really felt like a team like we are there for each other and can talk to each other. We have decided that at least once a month we will get together for some form of fun "english speaking" activity together. I think our next activity is the Super Bowl party we have planned. The person who actually thought of meeting for this event is a guy from the UK. I think it's great that he is so into football. I am excited to celebrate an American tradition with all of them. While it will be late at night and a small group of people I think we are going to have a good spread of food.
I knew that having a team overseas would be very important it's just taken us some time to all adjust and form bonds together. Now I am excited for what is to come for each of us as we help and support each other through our different/similar ups and downs. :)
