What an amazing weekend I just had. It was one of the best weekends I've had since I've been here. It was also nice to really get away and relax for the weekend. I am surprised at how much Polish I understood. Granted I couldn't speak much but I was able to follow conversations. My friend who took me also did an amazing job of translating. It takes so much work and energy to translate I was very impressed with how patient she was. Her family was so much fun! Her parents are still very much in love and are adorable to hang out with. Her mom worked very hard to practice her English and she also helped me with my Polish. Asha's mother is an amazing cook so I was definitely fed well the whole weekend. Before I left her mother and I were able to chat for a few minutes. Her mother and I teared up saying good-bye. Her mother was worried that I would forget her so she gave me some of her homemade goodies to remember her by. She is the first person to tell me that she likes loud people (ie-me) I don't think I could forget her. Here is a picture of us from the weekend.
