"You Should Be Scared"

This was my warning from a teacher last week when we were talking about school starting. Tomorrow is the first day of school. Since her warning I have had several other conversations and I'm not as worried. Since I'll be teaching preschool (AAAAHHH) it will be quite the experience. Already hearing from one of the English teachers she says it's very relaxed. She also told me no one checks in on you, it's our thing to teach the English and we an do what we want and enjoy it. I was SHOCKED to say the least. This is a whole new concept for me. I really don't have to worry about messing up and not being on schedule...sigh. The teacher I am assigned to co-teach with is a veteran teacher of over 25 years and refuses to learn any English, so this could leave for some interesting things. She still continues to talk to me in Polish even though I don't understand a thing she is saying. That DOES scare me. I know that learning the language will come with time but I feel bad not knowing it ahead of time. I will keep you all posted on how my day goes. Wish me luck!
