I am Here!

Well, I just signed onto my account and the page was all in Polish so I guess that means I am gonna have to step up this learning Polish. Things are going okay here. I had a delightful flight from Denver to London. It was so nice I actually got off wishing it was longer. Once I arrived in London and wiggled my way through all their hoops. It's an interesting airport and I'm not a fan of it BUT I got through it without any problems. Once I arrived in Warsaw I started getting nervous. I found my way down to baggage claim and was able to pick up 2 of my 3 bags. I then wondered around for awhile trying to find a place that I could report my lost bag to. When I was in the office a guy looked me straight in the face and was speaking Polish. I was soo lost. He then stopped and asked if I spoke English and I was so relieved! I was thinking back to our trips in Afghanistan and how we never have to worry about talking with people we have two people that say everything for us! Just as I was thinking it'd be nice to have those two guys there now...there they were (except they weren't speaking Polish either ;-)). I was so excited to see some faces I recognized.

When my luggage was loaded up we all traveled together to downtown Warsaw for some sightseeing. I was pleasantly surprised because I thought we were coming straight back to wherever I'd be staying. It was so amazing seeing all the buildings and the people. They have a lot of beautiful buildings all around that I thought were so cute. I was able to get a lot of picture that I will post later on.

Once we had filled up on "pizza hut" we traveled about 2 hours to PROeM's camps. It was dark out and pretty late so I didn't get to see much as we were driving. I was assigned my cabin which has about 4 other girls. I knew I was going to have one roommate so I was surprised when there were 3 more. I guess it is good that I had practice with lots of roommates at my parents house. :) Around 12 I was able to fall asleep only to be VERY surprised at 1am with guys in the cabin yelling and flashing lights. I have no idea what they were doing and I was so out of it I turned on the light and they ducked behind the door. I rolled over to go back asleep ( I don't know why) and then I was being poked with a broom! Eventually they left and I was the only one who woke up to it all. The downside is that it is now 4:15 am and I haven't been able to get back asleep.

I know that was a lot but it has been a bit of a crazy journey. I hope all is well with you. Please say a prayer for my last bag to arrive. Thanks so much Love you all!
